Our office will be closed on Monday, June 19th, in observance of the Juneteenth holiday. Juneteenth National Independence Day is the newest federal holiday, which is also currently a state holiday in 28 states, including Colorado. The holiday celebrates the end of slavery in the United States. Celebrated annually on June 19th, Juneteenth symbolizes the day in 1865 when federal troops arrived in Galveston, Texas, to announce the freedom of all enslaved people. It serves as a powerful reminder of the progress we have made as a nation and the ongoing work needed to promote equality and justice.
Werge Law Group celebrates and recognizes each of holiday that the State of Colorado observes, plus the day after Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve. By providing more paid holidays, we aim to actively support all of our attorneys and staff in achieving a balance of their personal and work lives.
