austin@werge.law
Austin Baxter joins Werge & Corbin Law Group as an Associate Attorney in February 2023. Austin graduated from University of Colorado School of Law in December 2022. Prior to beginning law school, Austin earned a bachelor's degree from Carleton College, majoring in Philosophy with a minor in Cognitive Science. His first time in a courtroom was at the age of 14, when he argued in the California Supreme Court during the Youth & Government program, where he was later elected to serve as the 68th Youth Chief Justice. Having gone straight from high school to college and from college to law school, Austin graduated a semester early, to receive his J.D. before he turns 25.
Austin’s young legal career has a variety of experiences, including Criminal Defense for the CU Law clinic and municipal law in both private firms and public entities. Although Austin has primarily focused on litigation, he loved his classwork in transactional law, he plans to work with Werge Law Group to serve both litigation and transactional needs. Austin assists clients with both litigation and transactional matters.
When not at work, you can always find Austin outside! He is an avid hiker with his pup Gigi and plays ultimate frisbee with local club teams. He is also a volunteer ultimate frisbee coach at Boulder High School, and volunteer mock trial coach with University of Colorado – Boulder's undergraduate team.
